Privacy policy

How Flipify Motors handles your information across our website, web app, and mobile apps, and the choices you have.

This policy applies to Flipify Motors, including www.flipifymotors.com, the web app at app.flipifymotors.com, and the Flipify Motors iOS and Android apps (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Salfi Ventures Inc. (“we”, “us”). The original Flipify app has its own privacy policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details, such as your email address and sign-in information.
  • Searches and watchlists, including the vehicles, price ranges, and locations you choose to watch.
  • Inventory you track, such as vehicles you add, purchase and sale prices, notes, and photos you upload.
  • Messages you send us, for example when you contact support.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage and device information, such as pages and screens viewed, features used, browser or device type, operating system, and app version.
  • Campaign information, such as the page you arrived on (without its query string), the referring site, and allowlisted campaign parameters like utm_source. With advertising consent, this also includes ad click identifiers (for example gclid or fbclid) and your IP address.
  • Identifiers, including a random visitor ID stored in a cookie and local storage on flipifymotors.com, an analytics client ID, and, in the mobile apps, an installation identifier from our attribution provider.
  • Location. If you allow it, the app uses your device location to suggest a search area. You can always enter a location manually instead. We do not track your location in the background.

Payment information

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe on the web and by Apple or Google in the mobile apps, with RevenueCat managing in-app subscriptions. We do not receive or store your full card number. We receive information such as your subscription status, plan, and the amount paid.

Public listing data

The Service shows vehicle listings published on third-party marketplaces. Those listings may contain information posted publicly by sellers. We process listing text, including with AI models, to extract vehicle details and provide deal context.

How we use information

  • To provide the Service, including searches, watchlists, alerts, and inventory tracking.
  • To send notifications and emails you have asked for, such as new matches for a watchlist, and account or billing messages.
  • To process subscriptions and free trials and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • To understand how the Service is used and improve it.
  • To measure which marketing works, as described below and subject to your choices.
  • To provide support, comply with law, and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

Analytics and advertising measurement

On the website and web app, a banner asks how we may use analytics and advertising measurement. You can chooseDecline, Analytics only, or Allow all.

  • Analytics uses Google Analytics and PostHog to understand how people find and use the Service.
  • Advertising measurement tells Google Ads and Meta when a visit from one of their ads leads to a sign-up, trial, or first subscription payment. We send these events from our servers. With advertising measurement enabled, we store Meta browser and ad-click identifiers in first-party cookies for up to 90 days and send Meta a SHA-256 hash of your normalized account email to help match conversions. We do not use the Meta Pixel or Google Ads tags in your browser.

In some places, including the US and Canada outside Quebec, measurement may be on by default. You will see a notice and can turn it off at any time. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out in those places. Elsewhere, including Quebec, the EU, and the UK, nothing is collected until you choose.

Your choice is shared between www.flipifymotors.com and app.flipifymotors.com. If you are signed in, we also save it on your account so it applies when you sign in elsewhere.

In the mobile apps, we use AppsFlyer to measure app installs and conversions. On iOS, advertising measurement follows your App Tracking Transparency choice. On Android, you can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings.

Who we share information with

We share information only as needed to run the Service, with:

  • Infrastructure and service providers that host data and run the Service on our behalf, such as Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare (hosting and security), and email delivery providers.
  • Payment providers: Stripe, Apple, Google, and RevenueCat.
  • AI providers, accessed through OpenRouter, which process public listing text to extract vehicle details.
  • Analytics and advertising partners: Google (Analytics and Ads), Meta, PostHog, and AppsFlyer, as described above and subject to your choices.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to protect rights, safety, or to investigate fraud.
  • Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that deal.

These providers have their own privacy policies, which govern how they handle data they receive.

Your choices and rights

  • Privacy choices: change or withdraw your analytics and advertising choice at any time from “Privacy choices” in the website footer or in the web app’s Settings.
  • Location and notifications: turn these off in your device or browser settings.
  • Marketing email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
  • Access, correction, and deletion: you can delete your account from Settings in the app, or email us to request a copy of your data or to correct or delete it.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as to opt out of targeted advertising or the “sharing” of personal information, to object to processing, or to complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any right, contact us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

Retention and deletion

We keep account information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable time, except where we need to keep it for legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes, such as billing records.

Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards, such as encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and our providers may process information in the US and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. If changes are significant, we will give additional notice, such as in the app or by email.
